Coldstream Pump Track is a must-visit for BMX buddies and has been a big hit with locals since opening in late 2022. This purpose-built asphalt track is perfect for bikes, scooters and even skateboards, with plenty of bumps, berms, corners and jumps to keep riders of all levels engaged. There’s a clearly guided beginner section featuring a smooth oval loop with smaller, consistent rollers that’s ideal for warming up, before moving into the intermediate zone that links together most of the track. Confident riders can really pick up speed and catch some air, while younger or newer riders build skills at their own pace. Mamma loved watching initial nerves melt away as confidence grew, with older kids respectfully adjusting their lines, taking turns and looking out for the little ones. Sure, there were a few spills, but with quick encouragement and teamwork, everyone was back riding and having an absolute blast.

CherryHill Orchards (Coldstream & Wandin) is the ultimate summer family outing, where rows upon rows of cherry trees signal that Christmas is on its way. After checking in, families hop aboard a mini bus to the best picking spots of the day, learn how to choose the juiciest deep-red cherries, then set off filling buckets (and bellies). You pay by weight at the end, with up to two hours in the orchard—though most families are happily done much sooner—before heading back to the main area for cherry-themed treats, must-try cherry ice cream, picnic spaces, giant lawn games and a classic tractor ride that rounds out this sweet seasonal adventure.
