Koolamara Waters is a charming suburban nature spot perfect for little adventurers. The paved loop lets kids ride bikes and scooters safely, while crossing the bridges over the wetlands gives a feeling of being deep in the bush. Surrounded by lakes, wetlands, trees, and grassy areas, it’s ideal for picnics, kicking the footy, or just exploring. Mamma’s boys loved climbing trees, playing with sticks, spotting ducks and platypus, and discovering hidden tracks leading to the lake. There’s also a small playground with picnic tables. The full loop is about 1.6 km, flat and suitable for bikes, prams, running, or walking dogs. Mamma’s 2.5-year-old found some dirt sections tricky, so bringing a pram as backup was handy.

Knox Festival: The Knox Festival is a fantastic, well-organised community celebration showcasing all that makes Knox great. This year’s theme celebrates the “Vibrant Community” with a full-day program on Saturday, March 1, from 10 am to 10 pm at Wally Tew Reserve.
