Mount Cannibal, Garfield North is a rewarding loop hike that takes you to the summit with beautiful lookout views along the way, making it a great family-friendly adventure. The track has a few steep sections and stairs, but Mamma’s 5-year-old loved the challenge and stayed entertained spotting different things in nature as you climb. Informative signs along the trail highlight local flora and fauna, and several lookout points offer stunning views with sheer drops, so close supervision is needed with little ones. At the base of the mountain you’ll also find swings, toilets, picnic tables and BBQs, making it an easy spot to turn your hike into a relaxed day out.
