The Screw Creek Nature Walk near BIG4 Inverloch Holiday Park is a peaceful spot for a family adventure, perfect for a gentle crab hunt at low tide. While the upper sections aren’t pram-friendly, the lower boardwalks and beach access are perfect for little explorers to spot crabs, shells, and other seaside treasures while enjoying the calm, quiet beauty of this coastal area.

Bunurong Environment Centre, run by the South Gippsland Conservation Society, is a treasure trove for little explorers. One entire room is dedicated to shells of all shapes, sizes, and colours, and there are also fascinating displays of local creatures like squid, sharks, crabs, and even giant earthworms. Kids will love the touch table, where they can hold a giant sea shell to their ear and hear the ocean, while the well-stocked gift shop and wealth of local information, including details on the nearby Dinosaur Dreaming site, make this a must-visit educational stop.
