frank thomson reserve

Frank Thomson Reserve is a spectacular spot in regional Victoria to watch the sun set or catch a glimpse of the Melbourne skyline. The reserve offers breathtaking views across the north-east and is perfect for a picnic or a gentle leg stretch. Alongside the vistas is the Kinglake Bushfire Memorial, a reflective and peaceful space dedicated to the lives lost during the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires. Visitors can read the names of those lost and take in the messages of hope etched in the circular memorial. Mamma’s special mention: there are no toilets on site, but BBQ facilities are available, or you can bring along fish and chips from town to enjoy while watching the sun dip below the horizon.
