The Ada Tree is a spectacular giant tucked deep in the forest, believed to be over 300 years old. Towering around 80m high, this ancient mountain ash has survived bushfires, logging, and centuries of forest life. Its immense size is awe-inspiring, and keen-eyed explorers might even spot a face-like shape forming within its trunk! The adventure isn’t just the tree itself—the journey there is magical. The 3.2km loop along the Island Creek Walk starts at the car park and winds through shaded ferns along a mossy creek, with hills and bridge crossings that make it feel like another world. The track back is wider, drier, and perfect for prams, offering an easier stroll after reaching the breathtaking Ada Tree.
