Haining Farm Park is a hidden gem that’s open to the public and perfect for a family outing. Once a working dairy farm, it has now been transformed into a sanctuary protecting the threatened Lowland Leadbeater’s Possum and Helmeted Honeyeater. Since mid-2021, the gates have welcomed visitors to explore the park. Families can enjoy a stroll along the gravel trail, cross the bridges over the Don River, and check out the old farm spaces and equipment—all while keeping an eye out for shy local wildlife. Eagles soar high above, and the wetlands are alive with croaks and calls, adding to the sense of adventure.
